Nirupma Misra

I am an educationist by profession. After about 20 years of teaching in Public schools, I opened a school, in Unnao Dist in Vill Kusheri located on the Lucknow Kanpur Highway for children from the nearby villages who are deprived of good education.

I am a self taught artist. Painting is my passion and I started making oil paintings at a very early stage. Experimenting with colours and trying new things on canvas is my hobby. The quest of bringing up something new has motivated me to bring up a new work. My paintings are the innovative fusion of acrylic, oil and traditional arts. I super impose my work with pure gold foil and then decorate it with crystal stone work. This style is perfected and patented by me as’ Nirutantra’.

Figurative Art Paintings.

Figurative art, sometimes written as figurativism, describes artwork - particularly paintings and sculptures - that is clearly derived from real object sources, and are therefore by definition representational. "Figurative art" is often defined in contrast to abstract art: Since the arrival of abstract art, term figurative has been used to refer to any form of modern art that retains strong references to the real world. 'Figurative art' is not synonymous with figure painting (art that represents the human figure), although human and animal figures are frequent subjects. Nor is it a synonym of realist art.
